NTRCA IS THE NATIONAL VOICE FOR QUALITY RESIDENTIAL CARE

NTRCA is the national body providing advocacy, research, workforce development and cross–jurisdiction engagement about the quality of care offered to children and young people in residential care.

Working alongside our member organisations, the role of the NTRCA is to build capacity through research, evidence, and innovation to influence change. We are committed to pursuing quality care and treatment with integrity, honesty, and transparency.

Our mission

To advocate for all children and young people in residential care to receive the support they need.

Our objectives

  • Mobilise and advocate for excellence and consistency in residential care
  • Build strategic relationships to improve outcomes
  • Support conditions for a capable and valued workforce
  • Share research findings, innovation and practice development.

Our story

The National Therapeutic Residential Care Alliance (NTRCA) began in 2012 as a group of professionals sharing expertise and helping each other in therapeutic residential care. We have always promoted research, advocated for therapeutic services, and offered guidance to government agencies and community organisations.
